In its ideal state, Science is a method for finding what works statistically. It can lead to surprising discoveries and insights that would have taken many personal trials and experiences to find individually.
Intuition is the sum of our personal experiences and individual reality. It helps guide our personal growth and development.
When used together, science and intuition combined can rocket our personal growth.
Let’s break it down using cardiovascular fitness as an example.
Studies show that running leads to the highest caloric burn per hour for a 70kg person. The table here shows some of the expected caloric burn 11 different exercises.
Does this data hold true for you? Maybe…
Your shape (limb size/length to torso ratio), weight and current fitness level all affect these numbers along with many other factors. BUT, even if the studies did have the exact data for your body, it still would not have the exact data for YOU, you're personal schedule, other commitments and how much you actually enjoy the activity are all factors..
Guess what, the best cardio for you is the one you actually enjoy doing :), everything else is just a fantasy.

Science can help guide you on the path, it's an amazing starting place for our next 'personal experiment'.
What works for you is for you alone to discover.
